Scary Minds
Three spooky hints, one everyday word. Spell it from the tiles, earn candies, and find out the monster was a mop all along.
Scary Minds is a word puzzle for the whole family. The hints sound scary. The answers never are.
For iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Android. Free to play, rated 9+: spooky but gentle, written for families with kids 9 and up.

Three hints
It sounds scary. It isn't.
Every riddle gives you three hints, from spooky to simple. The first one sounds like a monster under the bed, the second narrows it down, and the third is plainly harmless and points straight at the answer. Every hint is true, and the answer is always something ordinary you see every day.
"I trap things in my cold clutches." The answer is Ice.

Letter tiles
Spell it with the tiles.
Tap a tile to place it in the next slot, tap a slot to send it back. Shuffle the bank, Clear the slots, or Skip to another word and come back to it later. Shuffle, Clear and Skip are always free. A wrong guess just shakes the slots. No penalty, no timer.

The solve
Nothing to be scared of.
Solve it and all three hints are read back, so you see how harmless they were all along, with the candies you earned. The monster under the bed was a mop all along.

A brave mind earns candy.
Start with 10 candies and earn 3, 2 or 1 for solving on the first, second or third hint. Spend them to reveal a letter or clear the decoy tiles. Stuck after all three hints with too few candies? The answer is revealed for free. Nobody gets stuck, and candies are never sold.

Riddle of the Day
A fresh riddle, every day.
The Riddle of the Day widget puts a new free riddle on your Home Screen, Lock Screen and in StandBy: its first hint and its letter count, never the answer. Tap it to open that riddle and solve it.

Apple Watch
A spooky riddle, on your wrist.
Play the free levels on Apple Watch, with the same hints and letter tiles. The Riddle of the Day sits on your watch face and in the Smart Stack.

iPad
Bigger tiles, any way up.
On iPad the hints and tiles have room to breathe, in every orientation, in light and dark. Pass it across the couch and see who gets spooked first.

Apple TV
Party Time, on the big screen.
On Apple TV, Scary Minds plays Party Time for the whole room. The first hint sounds like a ghost, a monster or a haunted house, and everyone shouts a guess. Hints are worth 3, 2 or 1 points, with one more chance on the scrambled letters. Whoever holds the remote shows the answer and picks who said it first.
Two to eight players or teams, and an optional 20-second timer for each clue. Hand out a ghost for every guess scarier than the answer, then crown the Bravest Mind and the Spookiest Mind.
10 starter words are free. Pro is the same single purchase as on iPhone and iPad.
Scary Minds Pro
