This policy explains how Hamdouchi Interactive, LLC ("Hamdouchi Interactive", "we", "us") handles information in the iOS apps we publish on the App Store (the "Apps") and on this website, hamdouchi.com (the "Site"). If an App has its own privacy policy linked from its App Store page, that policy applies to that App instead of this one.
The short version
- Our Apps don't ask you to create an account and don't collect personal information about you.
- Our Apps contain no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking tools. We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- On the Site, we only collect what you choose to send through the contact form, plus basic visit statistics that we measure ourselves.
- We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
Our Apps
What we collect: nothing that identifies you. The Apps don't ask for your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos or any other personal information, and they don't send your activity to us.
What stays on your device: your progress, scores and settings are saved on your iPhone or iPad so the App can remember where you left off. That data stays on your device (and in your device backups, under Apple's terms). Deleting the App deletes it.
Purchases: if an App offers an in-app purchase, the payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details or your Apple Account information.
Information from Apple: Apple gives developers anonymous, aggregated statistics such as download counts. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may also send us anonymous crash reports and usage data. None of it identifies you, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Analytics & Improvements.
If you contact us: if you email us for support, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.
This website
The contact form: when you send a message, we receive the name, email address, optional phone number, preferred contact method and message you enter. We use it only to reply to you and to discuss the work you asked about. The message is stored in our database and delivered to our inbox by our email provider. We may use an AI writing assistant to help draft a reply, in which case the text of your message is sent to that provider for that purpose only.
Visit statistics: we measure how the Site is used with our own analytics, hosted on our own server. There is no Google Analytics and there are no advertising cookies. For each visit we record the page viewed, the referring page or campaign, your IP address, your browser and device type, screen size, language, time zone, connection type, whether dark mode is on, and how you interact with the page (for example how far you scroll and which buttons you click). The Site stores a small flag in your browser to tell first visits from return visits, and a random visit ID that is cleared when you close the tab. We use this only to understand which pages are useful and to improve the Site.
Cookies: the Site sets one session cookie, which is needed for the contact form to work and is deleted when you close your browser. The Site loads fonts and some scripts from third-party content networks (such as Google Fonts), which receive your IP address when your browser requests those files.
Who we share information with
We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run the Site: our web host, our email delivery provider, and an AI provider used to help draft replies. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
- When the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public or us.
- If the business changes hands, as part of a merger or sale, under the same protections described here.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form messages for as long as we need them to work with you and keep our business records, and no longer than required by law. Visit statistics are used to spot trends over time. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing hello@hamdouchi.com. We'll answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example California or the European Economic Area), you may have additional rights under local law, and we honor them. Because the Apps don't collect personal information, there is nothing about you in the Apps for us to delete. Deleting an App removes everything it stored on your device.
Children
Some of our Apps are made for learners of all ages, including children. Our Apps don't collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, and contain no ads or third-party tracking. The Site is intended for adults. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the Site, email us and we will delete it.
Security
The Site is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and our systems are protected with access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect the information you give us.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If an App ever needs to collect more information, we'll update this policy and the App's privacy details on the App Store before it does.
