When Paul Plummer, with over 30 years of coaching experience, approached me to revamp his PXP Endurance website, it was clear that his online presence wasn't reflecting his expertise. Despite his impressive credentials, including NCAA D1 background and USAT Level 3 certification, his website was struggling to convert visitors into coaching clients. It was time for a change.
The old site had several issues. Its layout was cluttered, and there was no clear direction for visitors. The absence of a strong call-to-action (CTA) meant potential clients were leaving without engaging. It was also slow and not optimized for mobile, which is crucial for today's on-the-go users.
I took on the challenge of rebuilding the site using PHP and clean semantic HTML. The goal was to create a fast, mobile-first, and conversion-focused website. The new design prominently features a clear hero section with two CTAs: a Calendly booking button for free strategy calls and a contact form. This dual approach ensures that visitors always have an immediate way to engage.
Dedicated pages for coaching tiers, a club page, events, testimonials, race wins, FAQ, and an insights blog were meticulously crafted. Each page serves a purpose, guiding visitors towards booking a call or filling out the contact form. The site's structure now acts as a funnel, turning casual browsers into prospective clients.
Specific design decisions were instrumental in this transformation. By focusing on clean, semantic HTML, I ensured that the site was not only visually appealing but also accessible and easy to navigate. This, combined with strategic CTAs, has made all the difference.
Within 30 days of launching the new site, Paul saw a noticeable increase in engagement. More visitors were booking strategy calls and reaching out through the contact form. The website now truly reflects his coaching prowess, providing the first step for athletes to reach their endurance goals.
If your website isn't converting the way it should, maybe it's time to rethink its design and functionality. A well-structured site can be the key to unlocking your business's potential.
